Naisha Shah
Naisha Shah heads data science at BioAge Labs, where she architected the company’s AI-driven engine for discovering therapeutic targets in the biology of human aging. Built on one of the field’s richest longitudinal resources — more than 230 million data points, including 25,000+ longitudinal proteomic profiles with over 50 years of follow-up — the platform connects molecular changes across the human lifespan to health outcomes, surfacing druggable mechanisms of aging and age-related disease. It anchors both BioAge’s internal drug discovery programs and external collaborations, including APEx, the company’s target discovery partnership with Novartis.
A machine learning scientist by training, Naisha has spent her career extracting biological insight from complex human data — genomes, proteomes, clinical records, and medical imaging. She has authored 25+ peer-reviewed publications in biomarker discovery, genomics, and systems biology, and she is a named inventor on two patent applications covering multimodal signatures for diagnosing and predicting age-related disease.
Previously, she was an associate professor at the J. Craig Venter Institute and led data science at Human Longevity Inc. She holds a Ph.D. in computational genomics from University College Dublin and completed postdoctoral training at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.
